Bonus:            This role comes with a £1000 bonus! 

 £500 bonus after completion of your probation period and a further £500 bonus upon completion of your first year with the school

Hours:             37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Are you a Thrive Lead Practitioner committed to improving the lives of children and young people?  We are looking for an experienced Thrive Lead Practitioner to join our fantastic team at Bramfield House School, Halesworth.

Bramfield House School is an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours, located in rural Suffolk. The School has a committed and innovative multidisciplinary team, extensive site and excellent facilities to support both learning and extra-curricular activities; we are in a great position to provide our pupils with the best education and care possible.

This opportunity is in Halesworth which is within commutable distance of Lowestoft, Diss and surrounding areas.

About the role

Under the instruction of the Senior Leadership Team (typically Assistant Head teacher behaviour and intervention) to work with the Pastoral team, Teachers, youth coaches, parents, pupils and outside agencies to develop the Thrive Approach ethos across the whole school and within families.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing positive relationships with the children they have worked with. They will be able to demonstrate how and when they have had a significant impact on children's emotional development. Evidence of Thrive qualification and ongoing training should be evident at interview.

You will support in the day to day running of a THRIVE provision to support the development, social, emotional and behavioural needs of pupils improving their active engagement in their social and academic environments and access to learning.

Up to date training relevant to post

GCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths

Bramfield House School stands in magnificent grounds and gives pupils extraordinary educational opportunities through its innovative, successful teaching approach inside and outside the classroom.

The rural location, just off the main A12 in Suffolk, attracts interest for places across East Anglia to achieve happiness and success for even the most reluctant learners and vulnerable pupils.

The boys are taught in small, informal and relaxed classes, with clear structures in place. They forge strong working relationships with teachers and staff, who encourage their self-confidence and self esteem through stimulating and realistic targets. Previous failure is replaced with a positive pattern of success and quantifiable educational achievements.

As well as practical and creative lessons on site, including sports pitches and an RHS accredited horticulture department, Bramfield House offers the boys a huge variety of opportunities for education outside the classroom, including sailing qualifications on the Norfolk Broads, study along the East Anglian coastline, and numerous field trips.

Securing a weekly boarding place at Bramfield House will ensure that progress can be accelerated with a 24-hour, wraparound curriculum. The comfortable boarding facilities are located in the main house until the boys reach Years 10 and 11, when the emphasis develops towards semi-independent living, and preparation for life at college, an apprenticeship, university or work.

As well as academic, educational progress, Bramfield House School develops self- esteem, self confidence to ensure its pupils can go on to lead meaningful and successful adult lives.
