Training and Assessment Facilitator in Plastering, Interior Systems and Wall and Floor Tiling

37 hours x 52 weeks

Level 6 £22,493 - £27,414

The Sheffield College – City Campus

This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career as a Training and Assessment Facilitator in Plastering, Interior Systems and Wall and Floor Tiling, which forms part of the Sustainable Construction Academy, in the faculty of Engineering, Construction and Technology.

Over the last three years the Sheffield College Construction Academy has experienced significant growth in our student base due to high demand. Our strong, well-established links with industry have also stimulated growth in apprenticeships. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at The Sheffield City College, located in the heart of Sheffield, with excellent transport links, and a mere five minutes’ walk from the train station.

We are now seeking to appoint a highly qualified and enthusiastic work-based wet trades specialist to assess this aspect of the curriculum at levels 2 and 3 on our City & Guilds and NOCN programmes. The College has high standards of practice, and associated success rates are expected to be achieved.

Your strengths will be industry based in plastering, interior systems, and wall and floor tiling, and will include recent assessing experience. The post involves on-site assessment of apprenticeship learners completing their studies. You will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing curriculum and team development.

The successful candidate should either hold an assessing qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one for candidates applying straight from industry or for those that have minimal assessing experience. Please refer to the job role descriptor for a more detailed description.

You will join our outstanding team, will be self-motivated and be part of a successful and growing department with Excellence, Employability, Enterprise and Engagement at its core.
