Job overview

Unusual Teaching Opportunity for primary or secondary trained teachers

Full or part time options available for a potential 2 term period

In our unique teaching model, we have a smaller class of around 10 to 15 students who are part of the school's transition programme: this supports our students who are not quite “secondary-ready” with a stepping stone towards accessing the mainstream curriculum. The role involves teaching English, Maths and Science to students in a class as well as teach Key Stage Three Drama lessons.  All resources for lessons will be provided by the subject lead in each department, but the successful candidate will need to ensure that lessons are effectively delivered.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Coombe Wood School to cover a member of staff who is going on maternity leave and the post would be suitable for primary or secondary trained teachers. You would have full access to our extensive CPD and well-being initiatives.

Based in our newly opened £35 million state-of-the-art building you would be joining a team of ambitious, forward-thinking, flexible and self-motivated staff who are very supportive of this model. If you share these attributes and can combine them with excellent teaching skills, we welcome your application.
