Job overview

Our Challenge

HEART Academies Trust was established in April 2017 and has grown to consist of four schools currently. We are looking for excellent Trust Learning Consultants in the Core Subjects – English, Maths, Science and Computer Science to join our School Improvement Team. You will be paid on Leadership Spine (depending on your experience) and will be on the Trust School Improvement Team, not the senior team in individual schools.

Your role will be as follows;

  • Teach outstanding lessons in a Trust school for the equivalent of four or sometimes three days per week, acting as a role model for other colleagues, supporting teaching and learning within your base school too, as a lead practitioner.
  • Provide leadership and teaching and learning support to other schools, departments and individual staff within the Trust. This will be advisory work that has impact upon results and standards.
  • Be an integral part of our School Improvement Team.

There are significant opportunities for your professional development through the HEART Academies Trust Family of Schools and you will not be alone in this journey. You will have support and challenge from the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Academies Improvement Advisor and the wider team. You will be working with others who are like minded and who all go the extra mile to secure success for our children.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and ambitious organisation, so we are seeking only outstanding candidates who can deliver our vision of exceptional education. Your strong leadership, outstanding teaching and ability to provide effective support to colleagues will enable us to achieve the best possible outcomes for all of our students.

We wish to appoint someone who has:

  • Excellent teaching, reflective and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to lead and work as part of teams; to be flexible
  • High quality organisational skills
  • The ability and drive to improve outcomes for all students
  • A commitment to our values and our community

As a member of our staff team we can offer:

  • Excellent professional development opportunities and career progression
  • A friendly, challenging and supportive working environment
  • Opportunities to play a role in the evolution of the Trust
  • The opportunity to make a real difference for children in our community

If you are passionate about improving outcomes for students and you are looking for an exciting opportunity to have a real impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment, then this could be the job for you.

HEART Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to DBS checks and excellent references.

HEART Academies Trust is a multi-academy trust established in 2017 comprising of Bedford Academy, Cauldwell Primary, Shackleton Primary and Shortstown Primary.

The core aim of the partnership is to create a family of academies who are the heart of their community delivering great education and improving life chances for all; we value the dreams and aspirations of everyone in our community.

Our overwhelming belief is that every child can be successful, both personally and academically, with early and effective help from staff that know and value them as an individual. We have high expectations of all members of our schools: children, young people, professionals alike are challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

Adopting a ‘stronger together’ approach and a commitment to positive collaboration enables each academy within the Trust to celebrate what they already do well whilst providing opportunities to ensure continued development and improvement across all academies within the Trust.

The HEART Academies Trust is committed to:

· Maintaining a continuous and rigorous focus on raising standards, particularly in English and Mathematics.

· Ensuring all children and young people receive high quality teaching every lesson, every day.

· Remaining non-selective and determined to value the abilities and achievements of all its students. Staff will be committed to providing the best possible learning for every child.

· Remaining focused on providing the best possible education for the community of each school.
