The Essential Skills including English and Mathematics department are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational Tutorial Learning Mentor to provide learning support and mentorship for 16-18 and 19+ learners.

Essential Skills including English and Mathematics department 

37 hours per week, permanent

£23,330 - £25,440 per annum

Focusing your attention on tutorial sessions and additional learning support for learners studying ESOL, maths and English you will work with learners in 1:1 or small groups to implement strategies to support the development of skills and behaviours such as building of confidence to aid development, learning and progression. 

The successful candidate will have an understanding of full time and part time ESOL, English and maths courses for 16-18 and 19+ learners, online learning platforms, be learner-focused and target driven; the learners will be supportively stretched and challenged to achieve their full potential and their natural learner-first approach will result in making a real difference in learners’ progression.
