Upper School English Teacher

Markham CollegePeru

The English Department is the largest in the College, with a range of nationalities and experience including examiners in Cambridge First Certificate, IGCSE and IB. All the students are bilingual with the majority taking up places in leading universities in Peru and around the world including Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, Cambridge, Imperial College, University College London and The London School of Economics. Over the past years, many students have secured Oxbridge offers.

The College is looking to appoint an English Teacher in the Upper School from August 2021. Candidates should hold a relevant degree, teaching experience (preferably IGCSE and IB) and be willing to work in a collaborative department whilst being prepared to participate in developing and expanding schemes to work to meet local Ministry requirements as well as current school initiatives.

Markham College has recently launched its very own multidisciplinary, project based learning initiative called IMPACT. This programme runs throughout the school and promotes core skills and values. Teachers with an interest in this style of pedagogy and a desire to engage with the IMPACT programme would be of particular interest to the college.

Applications with a covering letter addressed to the Deputy Head (Staffing), Nathan Eades and a CV of no more than three pages should be uploaded to the school’s application system (https://jobs.markham.edu.pe) as soon as possible and no later than 12th April 2021.
