We are a Humanities Specialist College which became an all through school in September 2012. We achieved IIP Gold in December 2013. At Waverley we try to create an environment which allows everyone to develop mutual respect for each other and a respect for learning.

Waverley School is a friendly and welcoming all through school for pupils ages 4 -19, with a resource base for pupils with cognitive and learning difficulties. Our school community benefits greatly from our landmark award winning buildings that provide everyone with state of the art facilities for learning, teaching and training. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Vice Principal within our Primary Phase and Resource Base.

The Vice Principal will report directly to the Principal and will Assist with responsibility for the leadership and management of the primary phase. These will include the strategic development of the primary phase, relationship with the local community as well as the complex day to day operational needs.

The ideal candidate will share our determination to continue to provide an outstanding education for our young people without exception or bias.

They will be enthusiastic, motivated and have a proven track record of effective leadership and management. They will need to be high achieving and self-motivating and capable of playing a major role in further developing teaching and learning within the primary phase of the Trust. The Vice Principal role requires strong people management skills, empathy and excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Waverley School is a co-educational, all-through school located in Birmingham, West Midlands. It has around 1800 pupils across its primary, secondary and sixth-form departments. The school is part of the Waverley Education Foundation, a multi-academy trust that also operates the local Waverley Studio College.

Waverley School became an all-through school in 2012 and moved to a new site in 2013. It is proud of its diverse student intake.
