This is a unique opportunity to take on an influential role in a growing leadership team, at a school with a pioneering approach to individual character development through every aspect of school life.
Saracens High School is a new secondary school which opened in September 2018 for 156 Year 7 pupils, growing each year until the school is full in 2024. The school is located in the Colindale area of North London. We are looking to appoint a Vice Principal to join the leadership team at our expanding school.
The success of Saracens Rugby Club is underpinned by the core values, which are shared by Saracens Multi Academy Trust; discipline, hard work, honesty, and humility. The successful candidate will live these values and promote them in all areas of their work. You will be helping to create a distinctive culture and philosophy so that from the moment someone enters the school, they will know this is where the learner is empowered to “be the best that they can possibly be”, where they are recognised for their individual abilities, and character education, as well as academic excellence, is at the core of all we do.
They will be an outstanding practitioner who has a successful record of leading school improvement that has enhanced the learning and experiences of their pupils. They will be a reflective practitioner, excited by taking risks, and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead to develop their skills.
This role will suit an ambitious Assistant Principal/Assistant Headteacher with aspirations to take on their own Headship. The areas of responsibility will initially be matched to the strengths of the successful candidate, and are likely to evolve over time to support their development in school leadership.
