A unique opportunity has arisen to appoint a dynamic and innovative Vice Principal to lead the Alpha Teaching School Hub and be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team leading and managing the School with accompanying responsibilities and duties.

The post holder will be accountable for the strategic direction, leadership and management of the newly designated Alpha Teaching School Hub including establishing the Early Career Framework, National Professional Qualifications and outstanding ITT provision. They will lead, develop and enhance the CPD provision across the Hub area.

Colchester County High School for Girls is a selective girls’ grammar school and lead school for Alpha Trust.  This school is a stimulating and friendly environment to work in, with an established programme of staff induction, training and development opportunities across Alpha Trust and NEETSA, the local Teaching School Alliance.  The Executive Principal is an NLE.  We are an outward-facing establishment committed to professional development and teacher-led action research. About Colchester County High School for Girls

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust.  It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding".  Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students to the Sixth Form.  The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site.  Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
