Colchester Academy is a thriving secondary school, looking for a passionate Vice Principal to join its thriving leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help shape and implement the vision that will raise standards across the school. Following the promotion of the current postholder to Headship, we are looking to appoint someone intent upon driving up standards, delivering excellent teaching and inspiring the same in others, and helping lead the school towards its next exciting phase of development.

We have a vibrant and energetic team of teachers who are hugely committed to all of our students. Over 50% of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds and we are hugely proud of the positive difference that we make here.

We are looking for a talented, tenacious and resilient leader, committed to the best outcomes for all students, you will be highly motivated, innovative and with attention to detail. The role is leading on ‘Standards’ across the Academy, and as sole Vice Principal it will mirror the role of Principal, providing the perfect preparation for Headship itself.
