The Milton Keynes Academy is a larger than average secondary school in central Milton Keynes.  Our Academy is underpinned by an ethos based on raising aspirations, raising achievement and building cultural capital. Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational Vice Principal.  The successful candidate will have the tenacity, enthusiasm and commitment to help lead on raising standards and securing the best outcomes for our students.  You will be an exceptional individual with the ability to lead on areas such as SEND, Pupil Premium and Behaviour. You will also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the latest Ofsted framework. 

Driven by a passion for student and organisational success, you will have a proven track record in senior leadership and demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students to perform at the highest possible levels.  As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will also be centrally involved in the overall leadership and management of the organisation and will help to establish a culture that is both nurturing and rigorous.

The Milton Keynes Academy is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school for students aged 11-18. We are a member of the Creative Education Trust, a charity and multi-academy trust with a network of non-selective primary and secondary state schools. Together, we work to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and creativity they need to succeed in school and in life.

Our proactive approach to developing positive outcomes for our students has been recognised by Ofsted. In January 2023, Ofsted recognised our potential to continue our journey towards a ‘good’ school. We believe that our academy exists for its children and for our community. Teachers are committed, talented and passionate about delivering an engaging education. The school day starts at 8:40am and formal lessons end at 3:25pm. Beyond the classroom, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
