Reporting to the Principal, the Vice Principal Student Experience will play a pivotal role in the successful realisation of the Board of Management priority for a step change in performance, the faster rollout of our industry academy programmes and our enhanced student performance - ‘To Let Learning Flourish’ and Our Way via Inspiration, Excellence and Innovation.

You will be a role model and provide strategic leadership and ensure the delivery of the Student Experience is of a world class standard and responsive to the needs of our diverse range of learners.  You will act as a creative leader, operating at all times to support the College values, behaviours and corporate management.  You will be a collaborative member of the Executive Leadership team, contributing positively to the strategic development of the College, providing both challenge and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have significant and relevant experience of strategic leadership, working with a senior management team including creative, innovative, flexible and adaptable curriculum development.  You will have lead students services at a strategic level and have a successful track record of policy developments, funding arrangements, and of management, delivering and implementing change.  You require the ability to manage budgets, meets financial targets and maximise return on investment.  You will be an inspirational communicator and dynamic leader, able to articulate a vision and inspire others to success.

City of Glasgow College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Scotland, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college, situated in the centre of Glasgow has approximately 32,500 students attend each year.

City of Glasgow College opened in 2010 after the merge of Central College Glasgow, Glasgow Metropolitan College and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. It has two campuses In Glasgow – City Campus and Riverside Campus.  Facilities across the campuses include hair and beauty salons, a television, radio and photography studio, computer and language labs, an aircraft cabin and a training restaurant, kitchen and bar.
