Job overview

 We are looking to recruit a Lecturer to teach the theory and practice of Musical Instruments Technology (MIT) curriculum in the School of Technology on Violin Making courses.

You will be required to teach classes, sustaining interest and providing opportunities for all learners to learn. You will also have to carry out learner assessment, in line with the homework/assessment plan, completing relevant records and using these to track and monitor student progress in line with College policies. 

You will need to have good administrative skills for planning lessons, schemes of work, quality files and to support the paperwork required for recording student’s achievements and work records. The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification or experience and a both a Certificate of Education/PGCE and an assessor award or the willingness to complete these qualifications within four years.
