Kingston College, part of the South Thames College Group, is now looking to recruit a Vocational Skills Assessor to join the Hair / Beauty section.
The curriculum currently includes students on 16-18 study programmes, adult programmes including access and apprenticeships and a substantial amount of HE provision. Vocational Skills assessors form an essential part of the School.
Assessing learners on a variety of programmes across the School which may include Level 1, 2 and Level 3 Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Customer Service and Work skills, you will undertake assessments in the College salons and other practical areas, online testing rooms and in the learner’s workplace and ensure that all practical rooms (including the training and commercials salons, reception and dispensary) are fully equipped, cleaned and prepared for practical lessons and assessment sessions.
To be successful in this role, candidates must hold recognised TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors coupled with recent experience within the industry either through a professional development file (CPD) or recent salon experience as a stylist or therapist in Hair and / or Beauty Therapy. NVQ 2 and 3 Hairdressing and/or Beauty Therapy Qualifications are essential for the post and you must have recent Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and/or Customer Service assessing experience.
