Workshop Technician Teacher Aide - Unity College - Caloundra West

 

The successful applicant will:

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;

• currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and

• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking a person to work in the Manual Arts area, duties include the following: Machine maintenance, tool sharpening, handyman skills, ordering and purchasing, cutting of materials, assisting in the classroom and workshop. It would be an advantage to hold trade qualifications or have suitable experience across a variety of areas. Skills and/or a passion to learn both wood and metal work (Including welding) would be advantageous. The ability to use and/or keen interest in learning a variety of CAD software packages (CNC cutting software and CAD) This position is for 18 hours per week with days to be negotiated.
