Hours: 16.4 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Are you an enthusiastic and caring team player who would like to join a breakfast and after school club team? Are you creative and innovative with a passion for working with children?

St Anne’s wraparound care provides quality child care for children during term time. We are looking for someone who can work in our breakfast club and after school clubs in Buxton. This is a maternity leave, part-time role with a start date as soon as possible. The breakfast club hours are 7.45 - 8:50am and the after school club hours are 3.15 -5:30pm.It would be great if applicants are able to commit to both, however, we can consider two separate people for each position.

Job Duties:

• To ensure the provision offers a safe, welcoming, inclusive and stimulating play environment

• To assist with the planning, preparing and delivery of activities, which meet children’s individual developmental needs

• To work face-to-face with the children registered with the club

• To prepare and supervise refreshments for the children

• To be reliable and punctual, and assist in maintaining staffing ratios at all times

• To be professional and a good role model to the children and other staff members at all times

• To adhere to the guidance and procedures of the schools’ policies

• To take part in necessary training as appropriate

• To assist in simple administrative duties as required

• To have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and to follow the child protection procedures adopted by St Anne’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, Derbyshire County Council and the school’s safeguarding policy

• To carry out any other duties as deemed by the Head Teacher which will be seen to enhance the work of the school’s extended day services

If you enjoy working with children and you are a great communicator then we want to hear from you.  The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative to respond appropriately to the needs of pupils and support pupils to engage in activities at the end of the school day.
