Year 4 Class Teacher

Westminster Under SchoolWestminster

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Year 4 Class Teacher within the Junior Department of Westminster Under School.

We are looking for a bright, caring and enthusiastic individual who will relish the opportunity to become a Year 4 Form Teacher to our able and sparky boys.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly team consisting of one Year 3 class and two Year 4 classes, with 22 boys in each class. The staff body is warm and supportive, and collaborative working with teaching, planning and assessment is encouraged. Both pupils and teachers are exceptionally motivated.

Junior Class Teachers teach their forms English, Maths, History, Geography, Science, PSHEE, and Theology, Philosophy and Religion (TPR). Boys work significantly above their chronological age. Specialist teachers take the boys for subjects such as Computing, Games and PE, French, Art and Music.

Subject specialisms will be taken into account and we would aim to reflect these in the successful candidate’s timetable. Depending on the timetable and any particular specialisms, it may also be possible to teach higher up in the School. Interests in teaching TPR and / or Geography would be of particular value but are not pre-requisites.

Westminster is one of the UK’s leading academic institutions and is the only ancient London school to occupy its original site. Situated close to Parliament and Westminster Abbey, together with the stimulating diversity of the South Bank and West End, the School has a special atmosphere.
