Job overview

ABC teachers are currently assisting a school in North East Derby fill a role which has suddenly appeared in their Year 4 class due to an illness in their current staff. The chosen candidate must be quick to adopt the current school policies as well as integrate themselves into the role with minimal impact on the children’s education as they will be joining so late in the academic year.

The school itself has been listed as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in the past, an achievement they wish to retain in their next inspection, with a primary focus being on the social and academic nurturing of the children in their care. If recent years are an indicator of the success of the school then any teacher who works here would be glad to have this school on their CV, especially considering that teachers and TA’s I’ve placed here before were taken on full time at the end of the academic year.

The role would be fairly high intensity to begin with as a candidate brings themselves up to speed with the class and the school environment, however the senior leadership team have made it clear they will be on hand to support any successful candidate with their integration to the school. The school is a three form entry and each class has a Teaching Assistant on hand to help with more challenging pupils or activities.

If you would like to be considered then click to apply now! Or please contact Kiefer today by calling 01332 219051 or email your CV to khannon@abc-teachers.co.uk

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.

Now is an extremely exciting time to join ABC teachers as we were acquired by TES over Easter 2016; they have chosen to work with 3 agencies throughout the country and ours was one of them. We are also recognised and awarded the Gold Standard by the REC which will give you peace of mind that you are registering with the right agency.

If you register with ABC Teachers, we are so confident about getting you work; we will run you a brand new DBS and once you have fully registered and worked 1 day with us, we will refund you the money. This will save you close to £50! (Subject to terms and conditions)
