This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, hard-working and determined Year 4 teaching assistant to become part of this large, Newcastle based Primary School. The School is looking to recruit a Year 4 teaching assistant for a fixed term period of 12 months.

The school is highly committed to children’s achievement and ensuring they are socially and pastorally provided for. The school require a teaching assistant mostly for 1:1 support, including some small group learning and support as the class teacher directs. You will need to have good literacy and numeracy skills and be able to support children towards aspirational targets which will allow them to achieve their potential and beyond.

You will have high expectations of yourself and work within our behaviour framework to ensure that children are set consistent boundaries within a positive learning environment.

This post is temporary due to funding. You will work under the supervision of the classroom teacher to support teaching and learning. A relevant childcare qualification, experience in a primary setting and evidence of supporting children with SEN would be desirable.
