A vacancy has arisen in a primary school in south west Derby for a key stage 2 teacher to take over their year 5 class. This role has arisen due to a long-term illness within their teaching staff, so they are looking for someone to take over as soon as possible with experience in teaching a KS2 class. The main requirement for this role is that the teacher must be able to embrace the situation and the challenge of teaching a new class with relative ease to cause as little disruption to the pupils’ learning as possible.
The school are able to provide ample resources in terms of lesson planning and presentations relating to the curriculum. The ideal teacher will be selected following a shortlist and interview process, most likely involving a lesson observation, a key part of gaining the role will be to have strong referenceable experience from previous work. The aim of the school is to make sure that they have a strong year 5 team in order to prepare the children for the next year of SATs and to ensure all of the pupils are attaining good results.
