Five lessons about ‘Dig for Victory’ during World War II for Design and Technology. Each lesson contains differentiated activities in detailed planning sheets. These lessons have been successfully used for lesson observations.

  4. Make a wartime recipe using typical foods used at this time.
    Make a powerpoint or poster describing meals for a day in wartime Britain
    Compare and evaluate cooking and modern equivalents

  5. Plan the food for a wartime street party
    Evaluate recipes linking them to the balanced plate model.
    Make wartime sausage rolls following a recipe.
