This project was initially used with under-achieving boys in Year 8. It includes both team and individual activities to encourage competition.
Many students struggle to write engaging stories - this project uses the thriller/horror genre and unpicks the structure of narrative focusing on one aspect in each lesson. By the end, pupils will have produced their own short kidnapping story - The Hitchhiker.
You will need access to ‘The Man with the Yellow Face’ by Antony Horowitz and ‘Skellig’ by David Almond.
