Stone Age English Scheme of Work for Year 3

This is a complete English scheme of work for Year 3 children studying The Stone Age. It contains lesson plans for 30 x 1 hour lessons and ALL resources you need, ready to print out. The Learning Intentions are taken straight from the Year 3 National Curriculum. The English scheme of work is based around the narrative ‘Cave Girl’ by Abie Longstaff. This is an engaging story about a young girl trading to find the perfect present for her mother’s birthday. The scheme of work explores the narrative in detail while providing lessons and activities on adjectives, adverbs, fronted adverbials, conjunctions of manner, time conjunctions, direct speech, onomatopoeia, drama and outside learning. The activity sheets are beautifully illustrated to link with Cave Girl and also to engage and excite the children about their learning.
