Subtraction within 6 7 8 9 and 10 Taking Away BOOM Cards Home Distance Learning

These 45 winter-themed digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website relate to subtraction within 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 using a Ten Frame to solve the subtraction equations. Students use the ten-frame to help them work out each answer and then type in the circle.
Students look at the subtraction equation and then move the correct number of red crosses over the snowflakes in the ten- frame to show how many have melted away. They should also type how many snowflakes are left in the blank circle to solve the equation and then tap the Submit button.
If the student reads the equation correctly, he/she will note that some equations do not need red crosses and should just type in their answer.
Feedback is instant.
If your answer is correct the background of the circle will turn blue and you will hear a bell sound and you will also see a green circle over the ten-frame.
If the answer is incorrect, then the background of the circle will turn red/pink and there is a ‘whoops’ sound. The player can try again until the correct answer is entered, and the correct number of red crosses are covering the snowflakes.
