Organise a walk for refugees as part of Pope Francis’ global Share the Journey campaign. War, persecution, natural disaster and poverty force millions of people from their homes. Inspired by Pope Francis, we respond with compassion and call on governments to protect the human dignity of people on the move. We’re inviting schools to help us walk 24,900 miles - the distance around the whole world - in order to send a message to world leaders that they need to step up too. Join us! cafod.org.uk/schools

KS1 & KS2 PSHE Master Pack [Make your own PHILOSOPHY BOXES sessions!]

KS1 & KS2 PSHE Master Pack [Make your own PHILOSOPHY BOXES sessions!]

The download comprises 19 X PSHE lessons/sessions that can be used multiple times with the same group. It also contains the editable template that allows you to make your own PHILOSOPHY BOXES sessions. The method uses a selection of debate and discussion activities to explore PSHE issues for KS1 and KS2 students. This download is designed to be a significant component of any primary school’s PSHE provision. A demo of the method can be found here: https://goo.gl/DrcSqv [though the content is not relevant to PSHE, it shows how the approach works] The Philosophy Boxes Method is a new approach to P4C designed for students in KS1, 2 & 3: it is graphically stimulating, engaging, and fun. This download is also suitable for older students: but the format was designed with younger students in mind. In this context: ‘Philosophy Boxes’ represents a more student-centred ‘debate & discussion’ approach to PSHE issues. The aim of Philosophy Boxes is to bring philosophy and critical thinking into every subject at every level: we believe that any subject becomes philosophy when students are asked the right questions and when they think about a topic hard enough and on the deepest (most fundamental) level. The Philosophy Boxes Method presents students with a set of ‘mystery boxes’, when a student selects one of the boxes they are presented with 1 of 21 discussion/debate activities [that use 1 of 8 different formats]. The presentation has integrated AfL so that teachers can test knowledge at any point in the lesson. There are 10 different AfL slides to choose from. The design is colourful, animated, fun and engaging: all activities require movement and teachers can decide whether students are expressing their ideas purely verbally or by using post-it notes. The nature of the design is that it can be used for short sessions (5-10 minutes) or much longer sessions (up to 2 hours!) - it allows for classroom practitioners to be flexible and adaptable. It can, therefore, be used in lessons or as a tutor-time activity. The download includes a PowerPoint Show; if you would like an editable PPT presentation so that you can make your own ‘Philosophy Boxes’ presentation you will need to download the template here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-the-philosophy-boxes-method-template-for-creating-your-own-philosophy-boxes-lessons-p4c-p4k-11463227 A complete selection of Philosophy Boxes lessons can be found here: https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?&q=philosophy+boxes+godwin86 This PSHE course is based around the topics listed on the BBC Bitesize Resources for KS1 & KS2 PSHE (their content can be used alongside these resources to bolster your PSHE provision, though this download does not require additional preparation or resources) [http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/subjects/zqtnvcw] Check-out some of my most popular resources: GCSE Religious Studies Buddhism (20 Lesson Unit) Buddhism (Thematic Studies Units) Christianity (Thematic Studies Units) Hinduism (20 Lesson Unit) Islam (Thematic Studies Units) .    GCSE Sociology Resources Complete Units (Whole Course) .  AS/A2 Revision Sessions OCR Religious Studies AQA Philosophy AQA Sociology .  Philosophy for Children (P4C) The Ultimate P4C Resource Pack The Debating Society Toolkit Philosophy Boxes . The method uses a selection of debate and discussion activities to explore PSHE issues for KS1-3 students. **Check-out some of my most popular resources:** **GCSE Religious Studies** * [Buddhism (20 Lesson Unit)](https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-buddhism-ocr-b-aqa-20-lessons-very-high-quality-complete-resources-lesson-plans-worksheets-presentations-11410236) * [Buddhism (Thematic Studies Units)](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20%22gcse%20buddhism%22%20lessons&featured=bundles) * [Christianity (Thematic Studies Units)](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20Christianity%20lessons%20GCSE&featured=bundles) * [Hinduism (20 Lesson Unit)](https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-hinduism-ocr-b-aqa-20-lessons-very-high-quality-complete-resources-lesson-plans-worksheets-presentations-complete-course-whole-unit-new-specification-11518558) * [ Islam (Thematic Studies Units)](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20gcse%20islam%20lessons&featured=bundles) .    **GCSE Sociology Resources** * [Complete Units (Whole Course)](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20gcse%20sociology%20lessons&featured=bundles)  .  **AS/A2 Revision Sessions** * [OCR Religious Studies](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20revision%20sessions%20ocr&featured=bundles) * [AQA Philosophy](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20revision%20sessions%20%22aqa%20philosophy%22&featured=bundles) * [AQA Sociology](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20revision%20sessions%20aqa%20sociology&featured=bundles)  .  **Philosophy for Children (P4C)** * [The Ultimate P4C Resource Pack](https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/the-ultimate-p4c-resource-pack-philosophy-for-children-11586087) * [The Debating Society Toolkit](https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/the-debating-society-toolkit-11591038) * [Philosophy Boxes](https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?q=godwin86%20philosophy%20boxes&featured=bundles) . **Other Tools** * [A3 DIRT Worksheet (15+ 5-star ratings!)](https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/dirt-worksheet-a3-double-sided-11606218) * [KS3 RE Units](https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/ks3-philosophy-and-religion-6-whole-learning-units-with-many-additional-tools-and-resources-11387020) This download is designed to be a significant component of any primary school's PSHE provision. In this context: 'Philosophy Boxes' represents a more student-centred 'debate & discussion' approach to PSHE issues. The aim of Philosophy Boxes is to bring philosophy and critical thinking into every subject at every level: we believe that any subject becomes philosophy when students are asked the right questions and when they think about a topic hard enough and on the deepest (most fundamental) level. The Philosophy Boxes Method presents students with a set of 'mystery boxes', when a student selects one of the boxes they are presented with 1 of 21 discussion/debate activities [that use 1 of 8 different formats]. The download includes a PowerPoint Show; if you would like an editable PPT presentation so that you can make your own 'Philosophy Boxes' presentation you will need to download the template here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-the-philosophy-boxes-method-template-for-creating-your-own-philosophy-boxes-lessons-p4c-p4k-11463227 A complete selection of Philosophy Boxes lessons can be found here: https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?&q=philosophy+boxes+godwin86 This PSHE course is based around the topics listed on the BBC Bitesize Resources for KS1 & KS2 PSHE (their content can be used alongside these resources to bolster your PSHE provision, though this download does not require additional preparation or resources) [http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/subjects/zqtnvcw]

Interactive videos (online & DVD) on health, hygiene, sex ed, human trafficking, in 63 languages

We take simple life-saving information and make it accessible by some of the world's poorest people - especially women and children. Thare Machi Education (TME) is a UK registered charity, producing interactive DVDs and online lessons in local languages on topics such as HIV/AIDS, key hygiene and health subjects, addiction, sexual health, mother & baby, agriculture, and human trafficking. Our interactive lessons focus on key facts and include a refresher quiz. They are very popular with our target audience. We have 32 topics and 63 languages available, and provide our resources free of charge. They are used by partners around the world, with very encouraging feedback. Our partners are varied and include community groups, street children’s societies, health clinics, churches, schools and individuals. You can order lessons on DVD here: http://lessons.tme.org.uk/ You can download or stream lessons here: http://lite.tme.org.uk/ Lessons are available free of charge so that they are accessible to all. If you have found our resources useful, please consider making a donation (http://tme.org.uk/get-involved/donating-raising-money/) to help sustain our work. Thank you.
