ERKLÄRBÄR-Spiel: im Büro, Deutsch/German office words game, speaking and describing vocabulary, DAF

❤️ Look out for more ❤️ More “Erklärbär” games will be published and I am glad to share this wonderful game with you. It is great fun for learners to actually use their language skills to describe a word and the others guessing it. ❤️ About me ❤️ Hi there 👋🏼! I´m Cindy from Leipzig, Germany. I have been a German and English teacher for more than 12 years now. And I love coffee breaks ☕️. Coffee is just great. Over the years I have realized how much my students benefit most from lessons where THEY are the leaders, where THEY are encouraged to be proactive and learn from each other. Handing over the reins to my students doesn’t make me weaker as a teacher. It makes them responsible for their own learning and is highly motivating. I don’t want my students to be sailors. I want them to be CAPTAINS! (And I want coffee!) My teaching resources are all designed to enable students to USE the language. This is why you will always find the communicative approach in my resources - even simple crosswords come with ideas for speaking activities. All of my resources have been tested in class and will be updated regularly. Please rate my resources to help me build a reputation among millions of resources. Year 7 German - School subjects

Year 7 German - School subjects

At least a week’s worth of work geared to building students’ confidence in asking and answering questions about school subjects. The questions and answers have been inspired by Pearson’s KS3 and KS4 assessments along with AQA’s specimen material. We’ve been trialling a new approach following student voice interviews. We are now introducing students to new language through a mixture of reading, listening and translation into English before moving on to speaking. Since taking this approach, we’ve seen students’ willingness to speak shoot up, as have their speaking grades. A pleasant surprise! This PowerPoint and workbook set is good to go. The notes pages on the first slide of the PowerPoint provide information about resources along with an overview of the lesson. Subsequent slides contain additional tips. The PowerPoint and ‘8 questions-8 opinions’ workbook are designed to be used together in the lesson, whereas the ‘Key questions for this chapter’ workbook is for homework. As students study a unit in class, they complete that section at home.

GERMAN TELLING TIME 2

GERMAN TELLING TIME 2

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS AS WELL AS PRACTISING HOW TO TELL THE TIME IN GERMAN - QUARTER TO AND QUARTER PAST THE HOUR - IDEAL FOR BEGINNING LEARNERS OF GERMAN! GERMAN TELLING THE TIME GAMES CARDS & RECALL CHALLENGES really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their understanding & knowledge of how to tell the time in GERMAN in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. The cards, card templates and accompanying Recall & Write challenges have a bonus multi-focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing and spelling. Encourage students to reflect on their progress, and note targets for improvement using the **Notes & Next Steps ** template. This set includes a range of games and activities featuring the clock times quarter to and quarter past the hour. Students can play alone, in pairs or in small-groups. There are lots of whole-group games to play too. The games and activities are particularly useful as a set of either homework or revision activities as students prepare for exams and progress to new stages in their GERMAN learning programme. I’ve used Wie spät ist es? as well as Wie viel Uhr ist es? so that students can see that both are used. The accompanying Reference, Recall & Write workbook includes a GERMAN to English time phrase and clock face reference workbook, which students find useful as a learning support resource. Ideally, students will keep the workbooks in their learning files/folders to use and refer to over a longer period of time, particularly as a revision resource. The workbook works best when photocopied double-sided, and double-stapled on the left-hand side, rather than a single staple in the top left-hand corner for example. This format is far more reader, writer and learner-friendly, and can be used more effectively as a learning and reference resource. The resource comprises two non-editable files: 56 GAMES CARDS 14-PAGE REFERENCE AND CHALLENGE WORKBOOK WITH SIX DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGES Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully: the resource is copyright and for single-teacher/purchaser use only.
