KS3 Spanish Viva 1 Module 1.5 Tienes mascotas 75-minute lessons - Lesson 1 and 2

KS3 Spanish Viva 1 Module 1.5 Tienes mascotas 75-minute lessons - Lesson 1 and 2

Continues the first module of Year 7 using the Viva 1 textbook as a basis for the course. My 75-minute lessons are very structured with clear learning objectives and learning checks for each lesson objective. The learning objectives go over the two lessons and the lessons reference each other to reinforce learning, Several starters to choose from which allows you to customise the learning for your pupils. Easy enough to edit into 2 lessons if you teach hour-long lessons or lesson plus extension activities. Best when used with the textbook and the electronic resources.

Juegos y juguetes - ¿Qué haces en el recreo? & Mis juguetes - Board Games

Juegos y juguetes - ¿Qué haces en el recreo? & Mis juguetes - Board Games

These are two simple board games designed to practice identifying and naming toys and talking about activities at recess. Instructions Print on A3 paper or cardboard and laminate. You will need counters and dice. The students take turns to throw the dice and move the counters. On each square they fall, they must construct and say out loud the word that names the picture. If they fall on the goose, they must say the magic formula De oca a oca y tiro por que me toca, so that they can advance to the next goose and throw the dice again. If they fall on Vuelve a la salida, they must go back to the start. If they fall on Pierdes un turno, they must miss their next turn. The first player to get to Llegada wins. The ideal number of players is 2, so print as many copies as you need. If there are more than 4 players, the children will get bored waiting for their turn and they will not have enough speaking practice to make the activity meaningful from the point of view of language learning.

GCSE Spanish Revision Blockbusters

GCSE Spanish Revision Blockbusters

A resource made for a revision day, which could be used in a number of ways. Primarily the idea is to play Blockbusters, once laminated and stuck to a whiteboard. You could use them to categorise, or any number of different activities. I’ve used capital letters for phrases and lower case where I have taken out the vowels. Slide 1 is a vocabulary sheet they could look at for a minute to memorise before you start.

Spanish GCSE writing & translation revision booklet: complex and idiomatic phrases with examples

A comprehensive list of phrases and structures for pupils to revise and to aim to include in their speaking/writing. This is a final definitive list my own pupils have been using in the run up to the exams, trying to include examples in their speaking and writing. The list includes everything from modal verbs and opinion phrases to subjunctives clauses and conditional sentences. The phrases are split into 22 groups, each with some translation practice too, so as pupils can see how easy it is to manipulate these themselves.
