Lesson Planning Template

Lesson Planning Template

This is a quick little template used for creating slideshows for lessons - they are very useful as they are colour coded, the more you use them the more the students learn what they should be doing at each colour - They also know how far into each lesson they are. These are useful for lessons in which the students do more - activity based lessons as opposed to High Content, note taking ‘Chalk and Talk’ lessons. I find them most useful for KS3.

The extra documents are known as supporting documentation and can include a number of things such as scanned copies of certificates and letters of recommendation. While many employers leave the documentation part for the interview process, some of them may specify in the job description that they want to see them with the application.

Explaining skills using iPads

Explaining skills using iPads

This resource is aimed at teachers using iPads with students to provide ideas and inspiration for iPad activities in class. It’s suitable for all levels of digital skill, from new starters to experienced digital leaders. It can also be used as a general CPD resource for developing teaching skills, as the ideas suggested are not reliant on digital devices. The first page provides information about the teaching concept (explanation skills) and ideas for different levels of challenge when planning explanation activities with students. The second page gives simple ideas to try out with suggested apps. We’ve linked iOS apps but the ideas are adaptable to non-iOS / BYOD digital classrooms too. The third page gives some subject-specific teaching ideas (sorry if we’ve missed your subject area out!). We hope you’ll find some iPad teaching & learning inspiration here! About us: we’re developing a classroom app, Sparkjar, for use in iPad schools. We’ve made these free resources because we want to give something back to teachers whilst we raise the profile of Sparkjar. We hope you find them useful as part of your iPad teaching toolkit. There’s a link to our website in the resource - if you want to check us out, please do.
