SHIC level 7 (advanced) - Cognitive Quirks

Human minds tend to err in predictable ways, but luckily we can learn to be aware of these quirks, and try to overcome them. This level will challenge us to take a closer look at our minds and what makes them tick. We’ll examine how and where we get things wrong, as well as why that matters if we want to make the world a better place.

Tackling anxiety and depression - building resilience

Tackling anxiety and depression - building resilience

Young people are faced with so many issues today. It is a national issue, young people crumbling under the pressure. Anxiety/depression are continuing to overwhelm our students. I've put together this resource to help understand what it is, to help talk about the issues and using a 6 domain of resilience to get students thinking about how they can overcome these (and other mental health) issues.

AQA A level Psychology ( from 2015): Paper 3: AGGRESSION- FULL TOPIC

AQA A level Psychology ( from 2015): Paper 3: AGGRESSION- FULL TOPIC

This resource contains ALL the lessons to teach Aggression. A01 and A03 are clearly separated in the PowerPoint Presentations. At the end of each lesson, there is a revision sheet that students can use to write main points of the lessons. Print this on A3 paper. Some pictures are also added for helping memory. My students love it. The booklet is a selection of possible exam questions and essay planning- with space for student and teacher's feedback.
