TThis lesson meets the standards of the new Higher RMPS exam (valid from August 2016) and it is designed to last 1-2 periods. There is also a video-clip incorporated in the lesson to make it more relevant and up-to-date. Everything Changes - My FAVOURITE Christmas song in choral gospel style with online parts

Everything Changes - My FAVOURITE Christmas song in choral gospel style with online parts

A wonderful new Christmas song by John Gleadall. A reworking of ‘Away in a Manger’ in a Gospel style with a great contrapuntal chorus with three melodies coming together to finish the song. This is a challenge - but totally worthwhile, the end result is superb! There is a short musical interlude in the middle, ready for an appropriate reading as a voice over. I’ve done this from year 3 to full church choirs. Its my favourite composition! You have the demo, the backing track and the lyrics and score in this package. As a 'home learning aid' I've recorded the parts individually and put them on my website, also on You Tube - so you can send your choir home and ask them to learn part 1, 2 or three at home - there's NEVER enough rehearsal time. Please let me know if this is helpful. Try it yourself - go here: http://www.musicals4kidz.com/musicals4kidz.com/Christmas_Songs_for_Choirs.html and sing through the parts. Also there's a You Tube demo of the song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgRd5VqKs0Y&feature=youtu.be By the way you should obviously get your sweetest, dearest child to sing the 'Away In A Manger' solo at the top of the song! This is from ‘The Nativity Play’ - also available on TES resources.: kidzmusicals@icloud.com

Angels - pictures for sorting - SEN resource/nursery/infant

Angels - pictures for sorting - SEN resource/nursery/infant

I created this resources to be used printed off and as a sorting activity. Students could sort the pictures by which ever category their group decided. Hence this also covers speaking and listening as it provides plenty of opportunity for lots of discussion. They sorted them into the material the angels were made from such as stone, glass, metal but the other group sorted them into 'with halo&', &';without halo' which was interesting. This resource could also be used as a springboard to an art/dt activity. Please leave comments.
