La Musique - The Voice

La Musique - The Voice

Lesson on the different types of music using The Voice. Four students need to go to the board, facing the back of the room. When clicking the note on the slide a video from an actual The Voice France audition will play (between 30s and a minute) and the students need to decide if they like it or not (turn around or note) and then give an opinion and a reason in French. For the links to work, the videos need to be in the same folder as the PowerPoint. I have used it with Y7 to Y11 (adapting the language) and it has always been a success.

French music randomizer

French music randomizer

Powerpoint with youtube links to French songs. The slides play automatically on a loop. I usually get a student to say stop and we play the song. A red dot on a slide means that I wouldn't necessarily show it to KS3 and I would advise you to check the clip / lyrics before playing it before KS5.

Gap Fill Core French Snowman story and song

This is a part of a whole lesson based on the film short Lily et le bonhomme de neige by Cinemax studios. It has simple vocab and is clear to hear. I never did catch one of the lines clearly: toutes me quatre me quittent - I know it is not quatre but couldn't figure out differently. Joyeuse saison d'hiver tout le monde!
