SCHOOL CALENDAR 2018-2019 YEAR-TO-VIEW

SCHOOL CALENDAR 2018-2019 YEAR-TO-VIEW

This is an A4 printable year-to-view calendar for the 2018-2019 school year. I have shaded the weekends, but if you do not require this, simply delete the text and this will remove the shading. You can log holidays, including half-terms, by entering HOL in the relevant boxes, these will then turn red. Of course, with so much information on one sheet, space is limited, but there is enough room in each box to type a couple of words to log special reminders or other notes. I have also created a half-year split version which you can print on the front and back of an A4 sheet instead, giving you a lot of extra space for your notes.

Star incentive cards

Star incentive cards

Star cards work really well with yr 7 and 8. Highlight your expectations of how students receive a star at the beginning of the term (these expectations can also be found on the back of the card). Good reward for good behaviour and an excellent way of building positive relationships with students. Also helps to get children to extra curricular clubs if spun correctly. Hand out a card to each individual student at the start of the term and it is then their responsibility to bring it along to the lessons to achieve the star if they stand out. More stars equals bigger reward for the students with the best attitude!

Blank Lesson Templates

Blank Lesson Templates

This is just a pack of ready to fill lesson templates to make life a bit easier for the start of the new academic year. They are all identical and uniform, bar background colour. I’ve used them for different subjects, but they could easily be for topics/units at secondary level. They have spaces for WALT, WILFs and have traffic light icons for quick AFL opportunities (self-assessment).

Reading Intervention Programme Resources

Reading Intervention Programme Resources

This resource contains examples of baseline assessment tables, and an example of how this translates into a four week plan for a group of children. A plan for one week’s sessions, demonstrates how teaching targets, and group plans translate into individualised teaching points. Two examples of Most Common Word Teaching Resources are included, as is a Question Word, and Answer, Prompt Sheet. These could be used with the resource “An Effective Proven Reading Intervention Programme”, or as separate items. The process of breaking down the results of baseline assessments, of reading, into individual lesson outlines, may be useful for teachers, and TAs.

High Frequency Word Assessment

High Frequency Word Assessment

This test is suitable for any child whose ability to recognise, and read, high frequency words is affecting their fluency in reading. It is especially useful for children in Key Stage 1 and 2, but could also be useful for older children, who find reading difficult. The words, on the list, are those which appear most often in texts. This test was used as part of the “Improving Reading Accuracy, and Comprehension, Programme Outline” and the “National Curriculum linked Grapheme-Phoneme Reading Test”

July 2018 - June 2019 Student Weekly Planner

July 2018 - June 2019 Student Weekly Planner

July 2018- June 2019 Student WEEKLY Planner - Individual Teacher Classroom Purchase (see IMPORTANT at the end of the description) Purchase this one time and you can return and download the updated version every year for free! This product is a PDF file that is printer friendly & should be printed front and back. No clip art, no heavy borders requiring lots of ink! Includes monthly calendars (2 page spread) for July 2018 - June 2019. Months and dates are included and ready to print. Includes a weekly planner (2 page spread) with the dates already included. The subject headings are left blank for you to enter your own subject/class headings. Once you type your headings on the first weekly planner page, the headings will appear on all other planner pages. This means you only type the headings one time and not on every weekly spread. Suggestions: A) print on card stock or regular paper B) hole punch for a prong folder or 3-ring binder C) add a customized cover D) extend the life of the school calendar by printing it through a office/printing supply store and have it binded and the cover laminated. IMPORTANT: I created this student planner 3 years ago at the request of a local middle school who decided to no longer spend a couple thousand dollars purchasing binded student planners from a professional company. Buying the PDF and printing and hole punching through a local print shop for student notebooks saved them a lot of money each year. They have contacted me each year to provide them with an updated calendar and talked about the savings it has provided them and encouraged me to offer it in my online store for other schools as well. The purchase of this product listing is for one teacher to use in his/her classroom; however, if your school would like to purchase for your entire student body, please email me at gottaluvitcreations@gmail.com for special pricing. I promise it will be very reasonable! If there is an interest, I will create a separate listing for school purchase. For an additional customization fee, I will include your school name on page 1, important dates for your school such as progress reports, report cards, student holidays, etc. Email: gottaluvitcreations@gmail.com

Whole Class Feedback Template

Whole Class Feedback Template

This template allows for quick and insightful feedback to be given to students in line with the Ofsted feedback policy, Whole class feedback allows teachers to give general or specific feedback depending on how the template is used, pick up general misconeptions or grammatical errors buy highlighting multiple students, or give priase to individual students for their succeses. “Ofsted does not expect to see a particular frequency or quantity of work in pupils’ books or folders. Ofsted recognises that the amount of work in books and folders will depend on the subject being studied and the age and ability of the pupils. Ofsted recognises that marking and feedback to pupils, both written and oral, are important aspects of assessment. However, Ofsted does not expect to see any specific frequency, type or volume of marking and feedback; these are for the school to decide through its assessment policy. Marking and feedback should be consistent with that policy, which may cater for different subjects and different age groups of pupils in different ways, in order to be effective and efficient in promoting learning. While inspectors will consider how written and oral feedback is used to promote learning, Ofsted does not expect to see any written record of oral feedback provided to pupils by teachers. If it is necessary for inspectors to identify marking as an area for improvement for a school, they will pay careful attention to the way recommendations are written to ensure that these do not drive unnecessary workload for teachers.”

Formative Assessment Analysis & Mail Merge Report Generator

Formative Assessment Analysis & Mail Merge Report Generator

I have created an assessment analysis tool that can be used for any test up to 20 questions in length. The Excel sheet is primarily designed for science but could be redesigned for other subjects. A sheet is used to enter the year, title, question type, question marks and question description. The % at which levels are given can be changed to suit the year, assessment test in question. All of these will be used to generate a report. The report will have individual information about a students progress in the test. The data generated will be - Total, %, Residual, Level (9-1), Levels of Progress and Progress label. Depending on how well students did for individual questions, the report will highlight which areas (where a student achieved 50% or less of the marks available) students need work on to get them to standard. The test is broken down into the individual science aspects so that staff, pupils and parents can be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of individuals so that areas can be addressed where the standard is below what is expected. TO SEE WITHOUT PAYING - you can download the instructions. I have attached the instructions for the sheet that shows how the sheet works and examples of the generated Mail Merge report. This sheet will not only inform staff, pupils and parents but save time for the staff and be an invaluable tool in identifying areas to help pupils reach their targets.
