SEN New Pupil Baseline Assessment
GoldSENGoldSEN

SEN New Pupil Baseline Assessment

(0)
This resource assesses pupils with an EHCP when they join a new school or education establishment. It records the level that a pupil is functioning at and can help a new school understand the support that they need going forwards (at their new school). This assessment can then be re-assessed year on year against the initial baseline to demonstrate progress against the baseline and the students entry into a new education establishment (also attached in this document). Always useful when Ofsetd or the LEA needs evidence of a pupils progress.

House Competition infrastructure and sample competition

This resource provides a teacher or school with ready made House System that students can achieve as an individual or as part of a team. The name of the Houses can be adjusted but Duck and Tigers provide students, particularly those of a primary school age with a recognizable icon and something that is very gimmicky. Works well with KS1 and SEN settings.

This resource has been developed in an SEND setting with the aim of giving students an idea of different countries and cultures and comparing them with the UK. Three distinct countries are used for comparison - China, Germany and Brazil. The topic is delivered over 6 week with each session ending with a simple answer sheet testing knowledge (great for evidence of the students work and requiring minimal writing). For session 1-4 an accompanying Power Point slide has been put together to act as visual prompts for the students.
Primary school or SEN School Competition (Art, DT, English, PE & History)
GoldSENGoldSEN

Primary school or SEN School Competition (Art, DT, English, PE & History)

(0)
This resource would work so well in a special school setting or a Primary School Setting. The idea is that any students level of work is celebrated across a range of subjects as varied as DT, English, Art, PE and History. This internal competition has been well received by staff, students , parents and Ofsted alike. Each day would have a specific focus (e.g. Monday-Baking) and groups would be pitted against each other in a school to try and win points for their internal house or trophies/medals for their class. Will help with getting students to practice their class based skills in a friendly competitive environment. The outline will help provide a guide to the week and the session plans will help you get the week running as soon as you download it. Would link well with any historical event.
