This is lesson six of the Spreadsheet basics series of lessons. This gets students to understand how to use functions in order to do simple calculations (SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN) for a class of students with a mark-sheet for a fictional class. There is an advanced version of the mark-sheet for those super fast students which also needs them to work out how to calculate ranges and relies on earlier taught content on this course which required them to convert scores to percentages. The lesson comes with teacher exemplars to use with students and a step by step presentation Learning Objectives: • Know how to use the SUM, AVERAGE, MIN and MAX functions • Understand how to speed up setting up spreadsheets with Copy and Paste This Download includes: Presentation Two practical tasks allowing for differentiation Teacher model answers for both tasks This resource has enough for 2 lessons X 50 minutes with extension tasks for those students that get through their tasks quicker than all the rest

There is enough content here for 1 double lesson for very advanced students (or a small class) but there is enough challenge here for around 4 hours of teaching time. This lesson / resource is about <strong> Decision Trees </strong>. All my lessons are for a double lesson i.e. to take around 1hour and fifty minutes so they can be separated into two single lessons if required. This lesson is intended to introduce Decision Trees are tool for a business to make decisions. It has been designed for the A Level OR IB Business Studies with the following learning objectives: • Understand the purpose of decision trees • Know how to construct a Decision Tree • Understand how decision trees can be used to choose between options • Know the benefits and disadvantages of decision trees This download includes: • A full lesson PowerPoint • An electronic puzzle for a starter activity • 2 worked examples to use with students • A worksheet with a more difficult and complicated case study (with differentiated sheet if needed) All necessary resources to run the lesson are included in this download. The aim of all my resources is to provide lessons / activities of good quality that will add value to your lessons / schemes of work without any extra planning. All activities and resources have been used in class and any errors will be fixed and resources updated as soon as I am aware of any errors.
