An experienced physical education teacher of 18 years, Matt was Head of PE at The Appleton School, Benfleet from 2001 to 2014, where his teaching was graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Physical Education, Sports Science and Mathematics from Loughborough University, Matt attained his PGCE in Physical Education and completed a master’s degree with distinction in Sport Science: Fitness and Health at Essex University. Matt is also the author of online ITT resources for Hibernia, an external tutor for The TES Institute, and a senior moderator and team leader for a major examination board.
