About Al Oruba International School
Al Oruba is an international school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The school’s motto is ‘today’s learners, tomorrow’s leaders’. The school was founded in 1998 by Prince Abdulla Bin Mosaad Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and Mrs. Tomader M. Ayad, and provides an education based on an American diploma system. The school teaches students between the ages of 4-19, and there are approximately 2,900 students on the school roll. In 2014, school ownership was transferred to ATAA Educational Company. There are a wide range of extra-curricular events organised through the school’s Media Centre and Student’s Union, including a Spelling Bee and Eco Week. Past international excursions include to locations such as Turkey, France, and Tunisia. Facilities include I.T labs, Phonic lab, Computer labs, and a Sports Centre. Many teachers at O.I.S are qualified to conduct lessons of SAT I and SAT II subjects, and hail from nations across the globe.

The enhancement of students knowledge and skills is fostered by the implementation of skill- based curricula across subjects. The development of this curricula has been undertaken by teaching staff who have documented teaching and assessment strategies that reinforce students’ learning capacities.
