Mossbourne Riverside Academy is an ‘Outstanding’ primary academy which opened in 2016 on the thriving Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Built in partnership with Avanti Architects, MRA is a bright, modern building with plenty of space and light.

Mossbourne Riverside Academy provides children with a happy and caring learning environment, with high expectations of behaviour and manners throughout the academy. All teachers at Mossbourne Riverside Academy recognise that every child is different and encourages them all to strive and reach their full potential.

Mossbourne Riverside Academy’s calm working atmosphere creates well-rounded individuals who excel in the arts, on the sporting field and academically. All learners, regardless of ability, benefit from the innovative and enlightened approaches to teaching and learning within the Federation. MRA’s transformational education produces high-achieving pupils ready for the next stage of their education.

The Mossbourne Federation 

The Mossbourne Federation is a thriving network of Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form academies providing the children of Hackney and Thurrock with an outstanding education from Early Years to Post-16. We deliver the highest quality of teaching & learning across a broad curriculum, underpinned by high expectations of every student and by our Federation values of: Excellence, No Excuses and Unity. The Mossbourne Ethos 

The Mossbourne Federation is the realisation of Sir Clive Bourne’s dream to provide the children of Hackney with an outstanding education. We are delighted that on 1stJanuary 2025, Mossbourne has expended to include three new academies in Thurrock Essex.
