About Oakwood Infant School
Oakwood Infant School is situated adjacent to the historic oak common in the village of Hartley Wintney. It is a popular non-denominational infant school serving the village of Hartley Wintney and the surrounding area. Children come to the school for three years from the age of four until seven.
Ethos of the School
At Oakwood our aim is to provide a high standard of education for all the pupils in the caring and friendly environment of this village school.
We aim: -
To provide a positive start to school so that children are secure and happy and good patterns of learning and behaviour are established for the future.
To provide equal opportunities for all children to take part in the activities the school can offer, fostering development of the whole child.
To provide a broad and balanced curriculum, fulfilling the requirements of the National Curriculum. Through quality teaching and learning to set high standards and enable children to perform to the best of their ability and have pride in their own achievements.

To promote a sense of community, both within the school and outside in the wider world and Hartley Wintney in particular.
To provide efficient management of the school ensuring resources are used effectively, with due regard to current legislation.
