Vision and values
The secondary school’s distinct ethos is focused on the life teachings of Jesus Christ and is integral to its identity. Its motto is “To know, to love and to serve God”, and prayer is at the heart of all it does.
Our Lady’s RC High School promises to work with parents to ensure every child reaches their own unique potential. The school promotes excellence in all it does, but where there is failure the school encourages forgiveness, healing and reconciliation.
“Pupils have good attitudes to learning and work is carefully presented. Pupils’ spelling, punctuation and grammar in writing, and their use of standard English when speaking, have improved significantly since the last inspection. School leaders, including governors, have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for development. They are determined to continue improving opportunities for pupils. Senior leaders have taken effective measures to improve levels of literacy. Teachers provide pupils with opportunities to develop their speaking skills and practise their use of standard English.”
