The British Schools is a bilingual educational organisation that responds to the challenges of a changing world, unites the strength of two cultures and imparts a vanguard education that is well-rounded and aimed at the pursuit of excellence.
The Students: are offered a safe environment in which they can develop their individual talents, exercise options and obtain concrete results. They are expected to work diligently, be honest, loyal and self-disciplined and to participate in sporting, cultural and social service activities.
The Parents: are offered a bilingual education for their children, based on the best British and Uruguayan values, with a consistent discipline and an academic preparation which enables them to enter any university in the world. They are expected to give their support, act in coherence with the principles of the School and honour their commitments.
The Staff: are offered growth and professional development, good working conditions with modern resources and fair recognition. They are expected to be intellectual and personal role models for the students and to make a solid commitment to the School.
The Board of Governors: are offered appreciation for the overall responsibility of the School's achievements. They are expected to respect the will of The British Schools Society according to Articles 1 & 2 of its By Laws, to give guidelines and support to the Schools' Authorities and to administer all aspects of the School correctly.
The Uruguayan Society: is offered a model of excellence in education, and future citizens who will be useful and responsible. It is expected to show respect towards, and an understanding of the School's autonomy, its principles and its values.
