Values and vision
The Vyne Community School's motto is “learn, aspire, achieve together”. It is committed to ensuring a place of learning where students can be happy and successful, at the same time encouraging parents to become involved, too. Teachers promote a set of "Vyne Values", which encourage ambition, community, equality, honesty, independence, pride, respect and teamwork. The secondary school believes students must be treated as individuals in order for them, and the school, to succeed.
As a specialist school for the arts, The Vyne has a particular reputation for visual and performing arts, believing that these disciplines can have a positive effect on students’ confidence, creativity and teamwork. Whole-school assemblies before Christmas are a platform to showcase students’ achievements in performing arts.
