St. Patrick’s is a very popular and successful primary school, judged as outstanding by Ofsted. There are currently 296 children on roll, with 13.6 full time teachers, seven teaching assistants and two special support assistants. Support staff consists of two administrators, twelve midday welfare staff, two ‘Before & After School Club’ leaders and three premises staff.

The school serves its parish community by providing a Christian environment, which is safe and caring, where everyone can achieve a sense of real worth. We encourage the development of a living faith and engage our pupils in a high quality curriculum in order to develop their potential. We realize these intentions in a close partnership between school, home and parish.

The current building was opened in November 1998 and has modern, purpose built facilities, situated in a semi-residential setting. The new school has eleven classrooms, an IT suite, a library, Before & After School facilities and a PPA room. All rooms are fitted with carpets, blinds, IT network points, interactive whiteboards and purpose-built storage. This is complimented by very favourable external facilities.

Our school is part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust which brings together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. Our priority is to ensure the very best Catholic Education for all young people in our community, whatever their circumstances. We will achieve this together, through a strategic approach to sharing best practice, effective challenge and support from a central standards and performance team and opportunities for high quality Continuing Professional Development offered by the CMAT’s teaching school, The Nottingham Initial Teacher Training Hub.
