SUIS Shangyin International Primary Campus is located in the Minhang District of Shanghai, China. We can be found on Google Maps at 185 LongMing Lu. Our building is a school within a school, with an International Campus of 720 students in Grades K-5. Our campus is also home to about 920 domestic Chinese students but we share a common bond in seeking to understand the many diverse cultures of the world. Although we are a large school we have the feel of a small community school and we pride ourselves in our warm, caring philosophy, where all members of the community – students, teachers, and parents – are learning, growing and participating in the educational process. 

We are a learning focused school, with a mission is to facilitate an ‘East Meets West’ approach to education that prepares young people for the challenges of modern, global society. 

The International Stream follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), together with the Shanghai Math and Chinese Curriculums. The IPC was introduced in 2015 and we are in the early stages of gaining accreditation for this.

Our current staff come from seven different countries and we value the different experiences and knowledge that this brings. Our school is currently seeking applications from qualified applicants for the 2019-20 School Year. For work visa reasons candidates must be a native-level English speaker from one of the following countries: UK, Ireland, US, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia and should be IT literate.

Art  – Candidates will ideally have experience in developing Art at a whole school level and be able to teach any age of primary, (UK Yr. 1 - 6).

Applicants are requested to attach teaching (practicum) reports as part of the application if they have been out of university for less than 3 years (QTS certification if from the UK). Note: Applicants must have worked in education, or a related field, for a two year period following their first undergraduate degree to qualify for a working visa in China.
