Job overview

We are looking to recruit an Aspirations Co-ordinator for Hartshill School.  This role has come about from Pupil premium funding and as such will be on a fixed term contract to July 2019.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone to work with a forward thinking school so that we can ensure our curriculum meets the needs of all of our learners. We have an ever changing cohort of students who come to us with a range of abilities and needs, as a school we recognise that a traditional curriculum will not work for all so are looking for someone dynamic with the ability to think outside of the box and come up with links that will both motivate and change the pathways that some of our students find themselves on.

What we need from you:    

We are keen to welcome colleagues who share our passion for making sure education changes the lives of the pupils in our Trust. We are looking for someone:

· with experience of working with challenging students who find mainstream school difficult

· with the passion to make the lives of our young people different

· who can see beyond the classroom at opportunities that would engage our students

· Able to reengage students who have lost their enthusiasm for school

· Organise and implement reintegration programmes for students who struggle with full lessons

· With experience of alternative provision

About Hartshill Academy

Hartshill Academy is a secondary academy in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, for pupils aged 11-16.

Hartshill Academy is set in extensive grounds and the catchment covers very diverse urban and rural areas. This is a very exciting time for Hartshill Academy as we prepare for the move to our new building in September 2023. We are very fortunate to be one of the 50 schools chosen nationally as part of this project and we are all looking forward to the new opportunities this will bring.
