We are seeking a reliable, dynamic and responsible person to work as an assistant head of year, supporting students at the college.

The role involves providing pastoral and behavioural support and interventions for all pupils in the year group, in order to maximise their achievements and attainment across the school. The role holder will work closely with the head of year to help ensure the required school standards are being met.

You will need to have excellent initiative and communication skills and be able to deal methodically with unexpected problems and situations.

Jane Austen College is an 11-19 secondary school in the heart of Norwich. We opened in 2014 and have all year groups within the school for the first time this year. Growing gradually has allowed us to create an exceptional school, with the highest of standards. We are an English specialist school, with an additional post-16 specialism in humanities and the arts. We are also partnered with the Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form – the region’s first maths and science specialist sixth form.
