Assistant Headteacher with Special Educational Needs Coordinator Responsibility

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator to take responsibility for the management and strategic development of the SEN provision department within the school.

The successful candidate will :

• Oversee the day to day operation of the School SEND policy in addition to carry out the professional duties of a school teacher.
• Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students with SEND, in accordance with the school's aims and curricular policies.
• Co-ordinate the provision for students with SEND.
• Provide professional guidance in the area of SEND.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of SEND students.

St. Hilda’s, which is situated on the edge of Sefton Park in South Liverpool, is a welcoming and supportive community. In September 2015, the school moved into a brand new £15.5 million building and, for the first time, boys were admitted into year 7. St Hilda's is in the process of evolving, year on year, from an all-girls school (with a mixed sixth form) to become fully co-educational.
