Jane Austen College is a school with high standards and expectations in all that we do. Our core values of resilience, scholarship, independence, and aspiration enable our students to thrive and achieve success.

We are seeking a reliable, dynamic, and responsible attendance officer to join our pastoral team.

The attendance officer helps our students achieve success by promoting high levels of attendance, and by coordinating support and intervention where attendance drops below our expected standard. The role includes running our daily attendance monitoring processes, advising on development of the whole school approach to attendance, and some individual casework with students and families in need of support.

The post holder will also provide administrative and clerical support services to a high standard, supporting management, teachers, and students in an efficient, professional, and effective manner. This will involve organising and attending Attendance Panel and Fast Track Panel meetings as required and also liaising with the Norfolk County Council attendance officer on a regular basis.

You will need strong organisational skills, confidence in communicating with a range of different stakeholders, and the ability to work to tight daily deadlines.
