About Bishop Milner Catholic College

Bishop Milner Catholic College is a mixed, comprehensive, Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Dudley, West Midlands. It is an academy converter linked to a multi-academy trust called the St John Bosco Catholic Academy, which is associated with three Dudley-based Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

A smaller than average secondary school, Bishop Milner provides 800 places for students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed.

Bishop Milner opened in September 1960 as the only Catholic secondary school in the Dudley area. It changed its name from Catholic School to Catholic College to reflect its openness to students up to the age of 18.

Interim Head of School

Ofsted report

“Students achieve well at this academy because of the determined drive by leaders and governors to raise standards in teaching and achievement. Students’ behaviour and their attitudes to learning are exemplary. The highly effective relationships that exist between students themselves, and with teacher, create a calm and caring community. The academy’s focus on improving the progress of disadvantaged students is having a positive impact.”
