We are looking for an inspirational and experienced leader to support the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team in the continuous improvement of our school recently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The successful applicant will have a proven track record for excellence in teaching whilst possessing knowledge and experience of a broad range of SEN. You will be a fully qualified teacher and possess a sound knowledge of formative assessment practice and progress reporting. Applicants are likely, or currently be in an Assistant Head role or be an experienced teacher holding additional leadership and responsibility duties.
In addition to supporting the Head of School, your duties will include supporting teaching staff to maintain and improve standards of learning, teaching and assessment through training, performance management and a range of quality assurance procedures. You will also be adept at supporting the development of systems, policies and processes that support the running and development of the school. Based on Steiner education principles, the Sheiling School delivers a creative hands-on curriculum for our young people. Therefore, good communication skills and the ability to inspire staff in providing innovative care and effective education that complement the interests, skills and aspirations of our young people is imperative.
The Sheiling Ringwood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS and Barred List check will be required. Staff are also prohibited from promoting extremist/radical religious or one-sided political views whilst working at The Sheiling Ringwood (TSR) and /or whilst participating in activities associated with their employment within TSR.
