Job overview

We are seeking a new Deputy Head who can support the Head Teacher and work with other members of the Senior Leadership Team with the effective running of the school.  A strong people person who can be a good role model for both staff and pupils is a must!  We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced teacher with leadership skills who is excited by innovative practice and wants to make a difference to the lives of all the children at Maple Walk.  You will have strong decision-making skills, excellent organisation skills, be approachable, with a kind & sympathetic manner.     

The postholder will have class teaching responsibilities (circa 0.5), coach and mentor other staff, carry out regular lesson observations, assist with performance reviews and parents evenings & meetings, organise events, rotas, assist with the timetable and contribute to the school development plan.    

Maple Walk School is part of the New Model School Company.  We aim to provide a first-class traditional education, with a focus on developing a positive attitude to learning.  We have a healthy registration list for 2019.
